WISE was a project submitted for the 2023 Starting Grants call of the European Research Council (ERC). It aimed developing and analysing the first whole solar atmospheric model, from the convective zone and out into the solar wind, to solve some of the greatest unknowns in solar physics, coronal heating and solar wind acceleration.
